Captain of the houseboat surveying canal
Kerala has a huge network of backwaters with salty canals and lagoons, and houseboats run on these waters. In our case, the captain of the houseboat is surveying the way ahead, but the houseboat moves slowly, so there is not that much of an urgency and the trip is slow and peaceful.
