The support pillars of the Benjamin Sheares Bridge and the Bayfr

The Benjamin Shears Bridge is the longest such bridge in Singapore, was opened in 1981, and spans a total length of 1.8 km. The bridge was constructed over land that was reclaimed and was constructed of pre-stressed concrete and is an important link in the Marina area. In this photo, the underside of the bridge is seen along with the water of the reservoir. In the distance, some buildings can be seen. The Benjamin Sheares bridge is to the right, while the Bayfront Bridge, another vehicular bridge, is to the left side of the bridge.
