Equipment on top of a bridge on a water body in the Scottish Hig

The equipment located on top of a bridge over a small water body (stream or small section of a Loch) in the Scottish Highlands. It looks like electrical equipment to harness the flowing water, a barrage like kind of structure. This is a view very close to the highway, since we were traveling on the highway and moved a bit to the side to admire the view.
