Amritsar is a city located in the northern half of India. The city houses the Golden Temple, the holiest location for the Sikh religion and an oasis of peace and tranquility. Amritsar is also famous for having the Jallianwala Bagh Memorial, where in 1919, a British Army contingent fired more than 1500 rounds of ammunition at an unarmed gathering.
